Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se, Movie Review: Why Have The Deols Done This To Themselves?

Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se, Movie Review: Why Have The Deols Done This To Themselves?

We all love them, and many of us have grown up seeing their movies. What on earth has come over them to leave us with products which are in such bad taste? Clearly not the ones who give up, the Deols set out to do the third part of Yamla Pagla Deewana after falling flat in the second. Does this one make a mark? Not at all, and it hurts and pains.

Dharmendra keeps driving a scooter and we hear songs like Rafta Rafta and Gaadi Bula Rahi Hai in the background. And wait till you hear this! Whenever he appears on the screen, two ladies appear by his side and rattle off some non-understandable stuff and disappear into thin air. Who are they? Ghosts? Nobody knows even after the curtains come down. But before they come down, there's lots of torture. Bobby hams and how! And why is he shouting so much in the film?  It is here that the hurt and pain increases; Race 3 too didn't do wonders for him. Kriti Kharbanda fails the muster. Shatrughan Sinha is an interesting addition in the end as a judge, but the court proceedings are more about how he and Dharmendra fought over a girl in their adolescence.

A Still From Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se

The love story between Bobby and Kriti begins with bonding over a bottle! Rekha turns up to express her solidarity to Deols. But wait till you hear this, Sunny does the famous Ghayal jail scene in a court! And pray, why does the film start with him pulling two tractors single-handedly at the same time?

There is not a single song to write about. The background score is noisy. The choreography is tacky. The outfits are from God-knows which year! The dialogues are all forgettable. The direction is amateurish. And guess what's the message (if at all anybody deciphered)? That, the traditional Ayurveda medicines are superior to Allopathy. Phew! Itna outdated?

YPD 3 seems to have been made to resurrect Bobby's career; he is in the thick of everything. Whatever, it's difficult to for me write anymore. Let me go.

I am pushing myself to TWO.
