Ajay, Sayyeshaa talk about Shivaay

SpotboyE.com was at the grand trailer launch of Ajay Devgn’s ambitious directorial Shivaay which was held in Indore yesterday. Prior to the trailer launch, Ajay Devgn along with his leading ladies Sayyeshaa Saigal and Erika Kaar shared their excitement and spoke about their upcoming film.

For the first time, a Bollywood film’s trailer was launched in the most populous city of Madhya Pradesh – Indore – and fans gave him a warm welcome. Explaining why he decided to launch the trailer in Indore, Ajay said, “All the fans here asked if I could release the trailer here and I was overwhelmed with their gesture. I am just a guest here and they are releasing the trailer.”

Shivaay had run into trouble after Canadian authorities refused to grant permission for shooting in the country. It was later filmed in Bulgaria. When asked about the initial hiccup, Ajay said, “When you have to make a film of this scale, there needs to be lot of planning. You just can’t get up and start shooting. They are not called hiccups, they are called planning. That’s what we needed to do and finally we have achieved what we wanted.”

Sayyeshaa, who is the grandniece of Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar shared her anxiety over making her B-town debut Shivaay, “There are people who expect things from me and I hope to live up to their expectations. I have worked really hard for this film. I hope they will like my work in Shivaay. I need all your prayers.”

Polish actress Erika Kaar, who will be seen romancing the Singham actor, has high regards of him as a director. She says, “I could not believe how hard Ajay Sir was working. He would be on the sets very early in the morning, totally ready to plan the scenes, shoot and direct the scenes, check on the camera and lenses... he would do everything. Above all, he was also caring. I must say that I am really impressed.”
