AR Rahman has said being conferred Hridaynath Mangeshkar award is the best moment of his life.
Rahman went ahead and thanked Subhash Ghai and the entire Mangeshkar family for this honour.
The music composer said wherever he went, people always asked him for the songs from Ghai's Taal. He also thanked the Mangeshkar family for their immense contribution to Indian music.
Rahman was last heard in O Kadal Kanmani, the songs of which became a nationwide sensation. His next is Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone's Tamasha, directed by Imtiaz Ali.
