Farhan Akhtar: Wazir is NOT about chess

Farhan Akhtar is all set to begin next year on a high note with Wazir. From the instant the film’s first look came out, it’s been touted to be a chess-related film. However, during a recent interview, the Dil Dhadakne Do actor opened up about it not being so.
“Wazir is not about chess. Just like in chess, you have to plan a lot and think about your future steps a lot in advance, the same is with the characters of the film. The thriller effect comes because of that. The only reference to chess is the fact that Amitabh Bachchan’s character is a chess master. I bond with him over chess and we become friends,” said Farhan.
The film, which also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Neil Nitin Mukesh and John Abraham, is all set to hit theatres on January 8.
