BEST AND WORST DRESSED: Katrina Kaif’s Style Check For 2016
Katrina Kaif might not have had a great year at the box-office, but has her style meter dipped as well? Here are her 6 BEST and WORST looks of 2016...
Katrina Kaif is
one of the safest and non-experimental people when it comes to fashion. She
keeps it simple and straight. You might find drama in her personal life, but
her wardrobe has no space for it. Be it her hair-do or her make-up, Katrina
follows ‘The Katrina style’ all the time.
As we bid
goodbye to 2016, let’s take a look at 6 of her BEST looks and 6 looks which
might not be worst, but do not qualify as per her fashion standards.
BEST LOOKS OF 2016:

Katrina wore a beautiful emerald green gown by Lebanese designer, Ziad Nakad at the Lux Golden Rose Awards. Keeping her hair and make-up simple, Katrina nailed the look with the gown itself. Beautiful choice of colour and texture, everything blended well.

Her next kick-ass look was this red hot gown! Katrina wore a one-shouldered Romona Keveza gown with geometric earrings from Misho Designs and a ring from Micare at the Vogue Beauty Awards. She curled her hair and the make-up was just apt. I completely love the nude lip colour.

Going all desi at the Bachchan’s Diwali bash was Katrina Kaif. This was one of her best looks of 2016 which I can’t miss on this list! She looked gorgeous in that golden net saree. She completed her look with Polki jewellery, and nude make-up.

This one was a fusion by Anamika Khanna. Katrina attended the Jio MAMI Film Festival dinner. I completely loved the cape and crop top-skirt look. She teamed-up jewellery from Jet Gems and looked extremely stunning. The colour combination of red and beige was strikingly beautiful.

Wearing a Manish Malhotra creation on his 50th birthday party, Katrina set the mercury levels high! The theme of the party was gold and black, probably that’s why Katrina made an exception and went all flashy. We must say the experiment paid off!

Breaking the monotony of her usual dressing sense, Katrina opted for this blue funky polka dotted pleated skirt with a white crop top. Her hair cutely tied in a pony, Katrina completed the look with white sneakers. It’s one of my favourites because Katrina’s style is young and vibrant here.
WORST LOOKS OF 2016:

Katrina wore a red A-line dress for MAMI festival 2016. The dress does nothing to impress me- the boring neck, sleeves and the length is a turn off! Add Katrina’s boring hair-do to that. Also, may be a lighter shade of lip colour with a bright dress like this would have worked out better!

There is nothing terribly wrong with the look as such. But it’s way too ‘Blah’! Leave aside the fact that the linen pants need urgent ironing, solid on solid was a boring bet too!

I am a little confused about this one. Did Katrina intentionally just step out wearing this because she was just not in a mood to work on her? While I understand the sans make-up look (frankly I have no complaints about it as she looks pretty), still why wear a white satin dress (which looks more like a nightwear slip) for a party?

Don’t think Katrina often gets her Indian attires right! This one is just a bad choice. The neck, the flow of the outfit and the colour as well is such a disappointment.

Katrina wore this multi-colour pleated skirt with a black cold-shoulder top for one of her film’s promotions. The combination is little off and the choice of accessories too is not great!

And here comes the worst which Katrina Kaif donned for one of the Baar Baar Dekho promotions. Not just the film, but even this look bombed big time. Starting from the dress- extremely bad print and texture, BTW what’s with the pearls on the neck line? And to make it worse Katrina paired a dress with ankle length jeans! Even her block heels were hideous!
