BEST DRESSED And WORST DRESSED: Sonam, Priyanka & Jacqueline’s OOPS Moment At The Stardust Awards 2016
While Sonam and Jacqueline ended up wearing almost same gowns at the event, Priyanka’s attire too gave us a déjà-vu and its Deepika’s look which came to our mind...
What happens when two A-list heroines end up wearing similar gowns at the same event, that too at a prestigious red carpet? Stardust Awards 2016’s red carpet was a witness to this unfortunate act!
Sonam Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez wore almost identical gowns for the event. In fact their colour combination was also same- Grey and Sheer. Just that the neck was a bit different, thank god for that, otherwise one of them would have left the venue for sure to change into something else.
The two actresses are pretty close friends. Their antics on the red carpet have made headlines a lot of times, but little did they know that this time headlines would be made because of their identical clothes. Itna pyaar, girls?
While I thought Jacqueline carried off the look better than Sonam Kapoor, yet I am not very impressed with both of their gowns. Sonam’s sheer bodice gown was by Yanaina Couture. May be if she left her hair open flaunting her tresses in loose curls instead of that diamond studded hair band, the look would have worked better for her.
Jacqueline too kept her hair tied in a bun but her gown and body language was quite playful, which kind of covered up!
Making almost the same blunder like Sonam and Jacqueline were Anushka Sharma and Daisy Shah. Both wore similar concept pant-suits. None looked great though!
Priyanka Chopra too had ‘oops’ moment of sorts when she ended up in this Anamika Khanna creation at the red carpet. And here’s why it was an oopsie-daisy moment:

See the similarity? Well yes, Deepika Padukone wore this ensemble at the Umang Mumbai Police Awards 2016. This was too an Anamika Khanna creation. Just that Deepika added a bralet inside and Priyanka just wore the jacket.
Besides the repetition, Priyanka’s look didn’t impress me as much. She could have worn a rather sexy gown to the event than going all desi!
And now meet the lady who ruled the red carpet, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looking smoking hot and elegant in this white embellished Rami Kadi gown. She looked like a princess. Totally loving it!
Just when I felt a little better, boom comes Kajol on the face! Wearing this Gauri and Nainika gown, the neck is rather too wide for your neck-line Kajol. It just makes you look unnecessarily broader.
The black lips, I say, is a bold experiment. It’s something which we don’t really see Kajol do a lot of times, so maybe for her guts, I’d give this one to her! Over all, ho-hum!
Sporting the dark tint lips was also Tamannaah Bhatia. Sporting the gelled pulled back hair, she wore a Peter Langer creation with a bold neckline, NOT doing much to flaunt the boldness though!
Saiyami Kher on the other hand looked decently pleasant in that maroon number by Shantanu and Nikhil. May be a better hair-do would have made her look better but I like the gown she wore!
Meet an absolute disappointment Richa Chadda who looked like a gift wrap. Maybe a tummy-tuck would have worked for you lady!
So, these were the ladies who walked the red carpet at the Stardust Awards 2016 and my ‘Best Dressed’ for the evening would undoubtedly go to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
