Jacqueline-Arjun rock the ramp

You read about Manish Malhotra’s Lakme Fashion Week opening
show (Manish Malhotra goes elemental, March 30) and here’s a look at the star-studded event. 
Jacqueline Fernandez was the showstopper and by that virtue
got to wear the most gorgeous outfit from the collection. I guess we are continuing
to do overlays that restrict our movements. Of course Jacqueline looks lovely
and smartly enough the styling was minimal.
If
it’s a Manish Malhotra show Kareena Kapoor has to be there. After all she’s his
friend and muse. Kareena wore a lovely sari obviously by Manish. It’s a fairly
nice sari but I think Jacqueline got the better ensemble. Agreed that she was
the showstopper and needed the drama that goes with being one but Kareena could
have got an ensemble that stood out more. 
Kareena’s co-star Arjun Kapoor too was the showstopper. I
love how beautifully the jacket is cut and the rich colour of the kurta. Arjun
wears it all very well.
Just to give you an idea of how beautiful the overlay is,
Arjun and Manish held it out.
And then once again.
Sophie Choudry wore a blue catsuit with a jewel tone long
jacket by Manish Malhotra. It’s a rather tame look. You’d expect Sophie to wear
something far more striking to an event like this where her BFF is showcasing
his collection. However, she still looks good.
Dia Mirza also wore a look by Manish. Given the high
neckline a sleek bun would have worked better.
This could possibly be one of Farah Khan’s craziest looks to
date but for some strange reason I’m fully loving it.
