OMG! Did Ranveer Actually Wear That For The GQ Men Of The Year Awards?

I looked at Ranveer Singh’s picture quite a number of times to finally pen down my opinion on what this quirky superstar wore to the GQ Men Of The Year Awards night. A tuxedo with a twist in a DSquared2 look from the Fall 2016 was Ranveer’s choice for the evening.
It was a very bold experiment which could have rather gone wrong. And it was almost there, but since its Ranveer Singh, he just didn’t cross that line. Of course, blame it on his super bindaas nature and the ability to carry off just about anything (or nothing, at times) that this twisted tuxedo just sailed through the rough tides of fashion blunders.
I would give a 90 to his attitude, body language and aura and a 10 to his guts to wear something like this for the red carpet.
Although I would have loved him as much in a simple black tuxedo, a little experiment to stand out in the crowd is always Ranveer’s style, so let’s give this one to him!
Pushing the envelope was also Kangana Ranaut wearing this strapless Ulyana Sergeenko dress. No complains as far as this ‘oomphy’ dress is concerned, but a lot of complains with the two tone tresses!
May be a simple undertone of brown would have made you look like a million bucks! Before I proceed, if I was her stylist, I would have not let her walk with those heels.
Kangana who picked up her Woman Of The Year award at the 2016 GQ Men Of The Year awards, delivered a very quirky acceptance speech. She reminded the audience that her hotness is underrated. Umm...now we get the point behind the bold appearance, Kangana!
Another lady who kept the mercury rising at the event was Disha Patani -dazzling in gold. Not that it would make any difference in what she wore, but maybe she dazzled a bit more as Tiger Shroff was present too at the event. He opted for a black suit.
Radhika Apte too attended the event feeling the ‘Tuesday’ blues in that Swapnil Shinde creation. I like what I see.
Disrupting a perfect balance of style and glamour, there were few who would have been on the hate list of the fashion gurus at the event. Meet Huma Qureshi.
I can’t remember when was the last time I saw her wearing something pleasing to my eye? I do not second the opinion that the weight of a person should define what she chooses to wear. You wear what you’re comfortable in. You wear what you can pull off with attitude and grace. And that’s what lacked here!
Lastly, Surveen Chawla walked the red carpet at the awards night draped in all red-top to bottom. Pant suit has never looked so annoying.
You got to own what you wear, that’s when Fashion speaks for itself! And that’s exactly what Ranveer did and stood out to be the most stylish celebrity at the GQ Men Of The Year Awards.
