Priyanka Chopra And Deepika Padukone’s MET Gala Makeup Is A Delicate Punch To Our Senses!
The MET gala is one of fashion’s prestigious events which has celebrities and designers scrambling around to come up with an artistic rendition that is true to the theme set by the committee. This year’s theme was Camp: notes on fashion, which after seeing images of the event meant elaborate, eccentric over-the-top outfits, and Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone did not disappoint us!

While Priyanka was almost unrecognisable in her white ice- queen look, Deepika was a drag chic Barbie who stole our hearts, but their detailed makeup was what brought the entire look together and it deserves a moment.

Priyanka’s afro hair and fuchsia eyeshadow and lipstick with white waterline was albeit a little over the top for us, but was in tune with the madness MET demands.

However, we absolutely loved the subtle ombre lips moment, and all credit goes to makeup artist Pati Dubroff. And while we may not be daring enough for the white waterline, an ombre lip seems more accomplishable. All you need is a lip liner, a dark and one shade lighter lipstick and a lot of dedication. But if the end results look anything like Priyanka’s we’re all onboard!

Deepika Padukone in her ‘drag Barbie’ too leaned towards the purple fuchsia shade for her makeup. Her sky high ponytail styled with a bow, dark lips and adding drama to the entire look was her subtle drag-esque purple cat eye makeup.

The cat eye did everything right and we cannot take our eyes off that sharp flick! While this too may be a feat for the pros, the fact that it involves eyeshadow seems to be a more easier job and Amazon is full of stencils that might make the process effortless.

While the MET gala may not be the perfect place to look for fashion inspiration, the fuchsia- purple pop may just be the colour for the season! We’ll keep our radars on.
