Sonam Kapoor’s Headgear: Applaudable Effort Or Experiment Gone Wrong?
Yesterday, Sonam Kapoor made an appearance wearing a quirky outfit, which has left me confused. I wonder if we should praise Mrs Kapoor for going the unconventional way and trying out something different or tag this experiment a bummer as the actress doesn’t look that pleasing with the head gear
Sonam Kapoor attended a book launch- the Aladia Sisters- last evening. She dressed quite unconventionally in a kimono for the do. It was a floral print in black, blue and green. But what stood out in the look was the headgear Sonam wore.
The outfit and Sonam’s look has left me a bit confused as to tag her experiment as a good attempt or base my judgment on the basis of how Sonam looked in it. For me, the headgear didn’t really suit Sonam. I love it when Lisa Ray flaunts the turban, but somehow on Sonam it didn’t go too stylishly, or maybe it was the Kimono which didn’t complement the turban look as much?
The print of the Kimono didn’t impress either. While I say that the look didn’t turn out to be very flattering, I also believe that Sonam is someone who can carry the most unconventional look with ease and panache. And this one is also one of them- had it been anyone else, probably the damage would have been 100 times more.
Interestingly, Sonam has been pushing the envelope quite a lot with her last few appearances. You may recall the all white bold pantsuit, she donned, a few days back.
Coming to Sonam’s super quirked up look at the book launch, my question still stands the same- applaudable effort or experiment gone wrong? Damn, the confusion!
