After playing coy for many decades, this was the year when Bollywood shed the last of its inhibitions to portray love and lust onscreen. The Hindi film industry still has a long way to go before it learns how to show skin without making the audience gag, but plenty of scenes made the cut this year.

No conversation about sex scenes in Bollywood will be complete without the mention of Sunny Leone who starred in two forgettable but bold films this year. Ajay Devgn’s attempt at an intimate scene in Shivaay got many talking but it was newbies Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher who earned brownie points for a tastefully shot tryst in the stable in Mirzya.
Another bold move which got everyone talking was Radhika Apte’s uninhibited love scene in Parched.
Then there were flicks like Wajah Tum Ho and Fever, which delivered on the promise of sex with many hot scenes from starlets like Sana Khan and Sherlyn Chopra.

Radhika Apte and Adil Hussain made wild love in a cave and the scene became a hot button topic, even though the film did not make a mark at the box-office.
