Once upon a time to be known as the IT couple of Hollywood, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been fighting the custody battle of their six kids, ever since they officially parted ways. The Maleficent actress filed for divorce in September 2016 and in April 2019 the court restored Jolie and Pitt to their single status. However, as Brangelina’s divorce can only be finalised once they both come to an agreement with over the custody of their kids, according to latest reports in Entertainment Tonight, the trial begins today, on October 5 and is said to go on till October 23, says a source.
As per the report, a source revealed that Brad Pitt is asking for 50/50 custody to be put in place. The source said, “Brad is asking for 50/50 custody to be put in place and stay in place.” The insider went on to share, “Angelina wants to be fair when it comes to custody. She is very structured with the children. Brad has high hopes [they can] try to make it work because of the importance of co-parenting."
In the report, the source shared that Angelina Jolie wants to be fair when it comes to the custody battle of her kids and that she is very structured with the children, whereas, Brad Pitt, on the other hand, has high hopes that they can make things work. The source mentioned how the OUATIH actor has been respectful of Angelina's parenting, even while he doesn't agree with everything. The insider dished out that Brad is sure that Jolie loves the kids and does what’s best for them, but also knows his love and presence is needed.
Apparently, the Ad Astra star has so far avoided the court scenario. The source added that the last thing that Pitt wants is for this to have a negative outcome for everyone, but its also about him getting his time with his children. Meanwhile, the Mr & Mrs Smith co-stars had originally reached a custody agreement in November 2018, but it faltered when they both couldn’t reach an agreement. Brangelina are fighting for the custody battle for children- Maddox, 19, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 14, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 12. On the other hand, it was recently when Pitt was clicked leaving Jolie’s home at the time of the twins birthdays.
