Caitlyn Jenner Receives Flak For Saying Trans Girls Shouldn't Be Allowed To Compete In Female School Sports; Adds 'I'm Clear About Where I Stand'
Reality TV star and trans activist Caitlyn Jenner has been making buzz ever since she announced her run for governor of California. She is currently making news for a very controversial reason. Her latest remark on transgender girls competing in girls' sports in school has left many disappointed and angry. For the uninitiated, in a statement to TMZ, Caitlyn Jenner was asked about her views on legislation that bans trans girls from competing in girls' sports in school.

Calling it a 'question of fairness', Caitlyn said, "That's why I oppose biological boys who are trans competing in girls sports in school. It just isn't fair and we have to protect girls' sports in our schools." When asked if someone transitions and now identifies as a girl, isn't it de-legitimizing their identity to prevent them..," to which she didn't respond.

Taking it to Twitter, she wrote, "I didn't expect to get asked this on my Saturday morning coffee run, but I'm clear about where I stand. It's an issue of fairness and we need to protect girls' sports in our schools. Her comments didn't go down well with many and they expressed their disappointment on the same. One Twitter user wrote, "You just lost the race," another user wrote, "Can you please stop pretending to speak for anyone but yourself and your financial interests? Thanks."

A few days ago, former California governor and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger shared his thoughts on Caitlyn Jenner's run for Governor of California and said, "Anyone has a chance because I think the people are dissatisfied with what is going on here in California. The key thing about all this is - it doesn't matter if it's Caitlyn or if it's anyone else - to have a clear vision of where you want to go, what are the kind of changes you want to make and why are you qualified to become governor."
