Celebrated crooner Chaka Khan and sister Taka Boom have signed in a rehab centre to battle their dependence to painkillers.
Chaka Khan was very close friends with Prince and was looking to battle her addiction to the same medication that the legendary singer Prince was on.
A representative for Khan has said that Chaka voluntarily entered rehab because of her struggles with the pain medication addiction.
Chaka’s decision will have repercussions on her professional commitments. The doctors have urged Chaka to resume her recordings only in mid-July and to set her performances in August.
Reportedly, Chaka took the decision of voluntary rehab because she was shaken after her close friend Prince’s demise after an overdose of fentanyl. Prince’s demise was one of the most shocking celebrity deaths this year.
