Ellie Goulding Is Expecting Her First Child With Husband Caspar Jopling; Says ‘I Was Pregnant And Had No Idea’

Love Me Like You Do, Horizons, Brightest Blue, Power singer Ellie Goulding has managed to steal the hearts of her fans with her melodious voice and music. Ellie recently broke the news that she is 30 weeks pregnant. The singer shared she is expecting her first child with her husband Caspar Jopling. Ellie, who got married to Caspar in 2019 will soon be welcoming her first child. In an interview, the songstress revealed she had no idea about her pregnancy and found out about it when she went away with Jopling for their one-year anniversary.
Speaking with Vogue Magazine, Goulding, who was last time seen in public at the V&A Museum in August said, “We did the one show. I was pregnant and had no idea.” She added, “That was [around] the time when [Caspar and I] went away briefly when we were allowed to for our one-year anniversary, and that’s basically when we found out. It was crazy because it was our one-year anniversary. That was not the plan. The thought of getting pregnant didn’t seem like it could be a reality.” The singer then revealed that becoming pregnant kind of made her feel human and mentioned she and her husband is enjoying it.
A fitness enthusiast that she is, Ellie opened up about how her diet has switched from healthy salad and nuts to McDonalds. She said, “I actually went from being smug about how healthy my salads were and my breakfasts and eating nuts and seeds, and then all I wanted was McDonalds.”Moving ahead, Goulding shared that gender reveal is not a focus for her at the moment. She said, “We found out by default because we had a scan. [But,] it wasn’t a thing. We just wanted a healthy baby and there wasn’t much more to it. Instinctively, the whole gender reveal is not my thing.”
Meanwhile, Ellie Goulding shared she is excited to be a mother but mentioned she wants to make sure she continues work too. She said she can’t wait to go back on tour and revealed she has been in the studio most day. And, Ellie said she is excited about a challenge.
