The 'Love Me Like You Do' hitmaker and her husband Caspar Jopling became parents as they welcomed their first child, a baby girl. Caspar took to his Insta stories and shared the good news with his followers. He shared a screenshot of a Google search about the 'World Population', crossing out the number and adding one of his own. He informed her fans that the singer and baby are both happy and healthy.
Caspar wrote, "Mum and baby both healthy and happy. Extremely grateful." He further added, "I don't ever address the public attention that comes with Ellie's job. But during this magical and personal moment we would really appreciate being able to enjoy our privacy.. thank you x." For the uninitiated, Ellie announced her pregnancy during her third trimester.
Talking to Vogue about how she was unaware she was expecting while performing the last time, she said, "That was around the time when Caspar and I went away briefly when we were allowed to for our one-year anniversary, and that's basically when we found out. It was crazy because it was our one-year anniversary. That was not the plan."
The singer further mentioned that becoming pregnant kind of made her feel human. Ellie Goulding and Caspar Jopling got engaged in 2018 and married in August 2019. The couple's wedding photos took social media by storm. Caspar penned a sweet note for Ellie on his Instagram, "I get to spend the rest of my life with this truly extraordinary and beautiful, beautiful person. No one has ever made me feel more full of life, knowledge, happiness or love.."
