YouTube star and late-night talk show host Lilly Singh has been quite vocal about her support for the farmers protesting in India. A few weeks ago, Rihanna’s tweet about the farmers’ protest in India drew international attention to the issue, and soon after, various international public figures such as Lilly Singh, Greta Thunberg, Amanda Cerny, Jay Sean, and many others also joined in extending their support to the farmers. Now, once again showing her solidarity at the 2021 Grammys red carpet, Lilly Singh was seen wearing a face mask with ‘I stand with farmers’ written on it.

Lilly Singh took to her Instagram to share a few snaps from the red carpet of Grammys 2021. The YouTube sensation made heads turn as she opted for an all-black polka dot power suit, and her face mask was what grabbed a lot of attention. ‘I stand with farmers’ was written in huge capital letters on Lilly’s face mask, and the pictures that she has shared, are going viral on social media. Lilly Singh wrote that the red carpet pictures get a lot of coverage, so she chose this opportunity to show her solidarity.

“I know red carpet/award show pictures always get the most coverage, so here you go media. Feel free to run with it,” wrote Lilly Singh. Amanda Cerny, who has also been tweeting in support of the farmers, approved of Lilly’s mask and dropped several hi-five emojis on Lilly’s post.


In December last year, Lilly Singh shared a TikTok video in which she talked about the farmers’ protest. “Did you know right in India there is the largest human protest in history taking place? If you follow me on other socials, you know I've been talking a lot about the farmer protests happening in India. Long story short, farmers are protesting new agriculture bills that affect their livelihood. And they've been peacefully protesting but they're met with no so peaceful responses,” she said. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, one of the biggest award ceremonies, Grammy Awards 2021 were hosted virtually. Witnessing a lot of glam quotient and leaving the audience awestruck with their performance was South Korean band, BTS with their entertaining performance on the smashing hit Dynamite. Also this marked the band’s first ever time to perform live on its song. Though they did not take home the trophy, their performance definitely won several hearts; letting netizens experience a meltdown with their performance. 

While they performed for the virtual hosted award night as they remained stationed in Seoul, their performance was eye pleasing. Beginning their performance from red carpet to a roof top, it simply made the netizens go gaga over it. One of the fans praising the band tweeted, “I'm so PROUD of you. you won our love, grammy is a small things that we DONT need, this is not important for me. You WON everything, you won my love, you won experience, you won respect. and the most important is that ARMY love you and we are so proud you. BTS WON @BTS_twt #BTS”

Just before the main event, they had also performed on Dynamite at MusiCares Concert hosted by Recording Academy. 

The band was seen competing with Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga-Ariana Grande for their numbers such as Exile, Intentions and Rain on me respectively. The winning in the race was Lady Gaga and Ariane Grande’s Rain on me number at the prestigious award night. The teaser of Anand Pandit’s Chehre has received an over-powering response from the audience and now they are eagerly waiting for the trailer to roll out. Starring the legendary Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi in the lead and directed by Rumy Jafry, the trailer of the film is all set to meet the audience on March 18, 2021. The makers of the film have now released Amitabh Bachchan’s fascinating solo poster.The megastar’s dapper and flamboyant look in the film has been the talk of the town ever since the movie was announced. 

The actor sharing his first look on his social media account penned his dialogue as his caption. You must have heard this dialogue in the recently released teaser of the movie, his caption read, “Adaalaton mein justice nahi judgement hota hai, insaaf nahi faisla hota hai.” In the first look, the actor was seen in an intense look, sporting a long beard with a heavy moustache. He sported glasses, a cap and looked dapper in a black suit on the movie poster. 

Produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures & Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited, directed by Rumy Jafry, Chehre also stars Annu Kapoor, Krystle D’Souza, Dhritiman Chatterjee, Raghubir Yadav, and Siddhanth Kapoor. The film is now all set to release in the cinema houses on April 9, 2021.
