Gwen Stefani speaks out about what she suffered in her marriage with Gavin Rossdale
Gwen Stefani’s given a sneak-peek into her marital woes that she had when she was married to rocker Gavin Rossdale. In an interview with a leading magazine, she said nobody except her family and friends knew that she went through months and months of torture in the final months of her marriage.
Gwen filed for divorce in August last year, 13 years after her marriage. They married in September 2002 and have three sons. Kingston James McGregor Rossdale, Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale and Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale. Gwen and Gavin met first in 1995, when Gwen’s band No Doubt opened for Gavin’s band Rush. Their marriage fell apart when rumours that Gavin had an affair for 3 years grabbed the headlines.
It was finally revealed that Gavin was cheating with the family’s nanny, Mindy Mann. Rumours at that time were that it was Gwen who made the revelation, with texts between Gavin and Mindy talking of them meeting up. The reasons given were the all-encompassing irreconcilable differences. The couple have joint custody of all three children.
Stefani is in a happy space now that she’s with Blake Shelton. The two announced that they were dating in November last year.
