Irrfan Khan Gets Honoured 'In Memoriam' Segment By Producer's Guild Of America But They Majorly Goof Up His Name
Not just in Bollywood, late actor Irrfan Khan has done some notable and incredible work in the West as well. The actor has starred in big movies like The Amazing Spider-Man, Life Of Pi, Inferno, Jurassic World and many more. Though the actor is not between us, his work is always remembered and cherished. Having said that, the 2021 edition of the Producer's Guild of America (PGA) Awards honoured the late Indian star Irrfan Khan during its 'In Memoriam' segment, however, unfortunately, they got his name wrong.

The pre-taped production of the awards committed a gaffe as the actor's name was read as 'Irrif Kahn' instead of Irrfan Khan, as reported by Variety. Not just Irrfan, there was a typo in Minari star Steven Yeun’s name as well, who was also one of the presenters at the event. His name was misspelt as 'Steven Yuen’. Apart from his, 'In Memoriam' segment of the PGA Awards, they also paid tributes to other Hollywood stars like Kirk Douglas, who died at the age of 103 in February 2020, and the Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman, who passed away in August at age 43 after valiantly battling with cancer.

Irrfan Khan passed away on April 29 due to a colon infection. He was diagnosed with the neuroendocrine tumour two years back and got treated. As the actor has left for his heavenly abode, his elder son Babil Khan keep him alive in his memory and on social media as he keeps sharing posts on him.

Just recently, he saw a dream about his father, talking about the same on his Instagram, he wrote, “For in my dreams, I have no knowledge of your desertion. In my dreams today, you told me you were about to leave me and you held me for so long. Imagine the fact that I just woke up cause my phone rang for yet another offer to act, for yet another film. Now what sense does all this make without you Baba? I’d rather keep dreaming. (Tears make it hard to type, someone invent a phone for people that cry a lot plis)” ALSO READ: Irrfan Khan’s Son Babil Khan Thinks ‘Eye Bags Are Sexy’; Netizens Affirm Saying ‘Especially When They Are Genetic’ - See Pic
