Post their breakup, Jennifer Lopez was spotted with Ben Affleck, whom she had been engaged to, about two decades ago. They have reportedly been spending time together, and fans are hoping for a possible reconciliation. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck sparked dating rumours once again, and now, Ben’s close friend Matt Damon hopes that the rumours are true.
Matt Damon, during his appearance on Today, was asked about Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck spending time together. He first jokingly told the hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb that there wasn’t enough liquor in the world to get him to open up about something like that. He was then asked how he found out about the rumours of Jennifer and Ben. “I just heard you guys. I was sitting here waiting to come on TV. This is the first time I’ve heard about it,” he said.
Matt Damon added that he thought it is a fascinating story, and then, while reacting to rumours about Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s possible reunion, he said, “I hope it's true. I love them both. I hope it's true. That would be awesome."
In April this year, E! News reported about Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez’s split. JLo’s statement read, “We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so. We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another’s children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support.”
