Jennifer Lopez has been charming her fans with her acting talent and power-packed performances in films. The actress recently walked the runway for Donatella Versace at the Milan Fashion Week and looked jaw-dropping. The actress-singer constantly shares glimpses from her preps for her film Hustlers which premiered at Toronto International Film Festival this year. As Jennifer plays the role of a stripper in the film Hustlers, she revealed lately how she found the struggles of the strippers very relatable.
Jennifer constantly shared insights from her preps for Hustlers with fans on Instagram. The actress also took classes for Pole dancing from pole artist and trainer Johanna Sapakie and also visited clubs to understand the routine and lifestyle of the strippers. JLo found the struggles of the strippers very relatable. Lopez revealed how she met dancers and visited strip clubs during the preparation of film Hustlers. Jennifer Lopez met with the strippers backstage and listened to them carefully on how it was like to have a career as a dancer. JLo further added how she soaked up the atmosphere and wanted to understand and learn to do things authentically, including pole dancing.
Thinking pole dancing would surprise people, although it shouldn’t, Jennifer spoke how most of the women are just trying to get by. Speaking of their struggles Jennifer said that they are 100 percent relatable. Concluding her journey in the film and her experience with the dancers, Lopez revealed how they want to take care of themselves and their families and how she along with makers wanted to bring the struggles of the women to life.
The film Hustlers is directed by Lorene Scafaria and is based on New York Magazine’s article by Jessica Pressler. Set against the backdrop of the 2008 recession, Hustlers revolves around the story of a group of strippers in New York City who begin to drug stock traders and business honchos visiting their club and eventually try to steal their money. The film stars Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu, Julia Stiles, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, Lizzo and Cardi B and is slated to release in India on September 27.
