Kate Winslet Regrets Working With Woody Allen And Roman Polanski: ‘What The F*ck Was I Doing?’

Kate Winslet is undeniably one of the most popular Hollywood stars, and her popularity is not just limited to the West, the actress is also widely known all over the world for her roles in films such as Titanic, The Reader, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, and others. However, looks like Kate isn’t proud of all the choices she has made so far, as she has now expressed her regret over working with Woody Allen and Roman Polanski, who have been accused of sexual misconduct.
While speaking to Vanity Fair, Kate Winslet opened up on setting an example for younger women. It was then that she said that she regrets her collaborations with directors Woody Allen and Roman Polanski. She told Vanity Fair, “It’s like, what the f*ck was I doing working with Woody Allen and Roman Polanski? It’s unbelievable to me now how those men were held in such high regard, so widely in the film industry and for as long as they were. It’s f*cking disgraceful.”
She said that she takes responsibility for the fact that she worked with both of them, and that she cannot turn back the clock. “I’m grappling with those regrets but what do we have if we aren’t able to just be f*cking truthful about all of it?” she said.
Kate Winslet has worked with Roman Polanski in the 2011 film Carnage and with Woody Allen in the 2017 film Wonder Wheel. According to Variety, Woody Allen was accused of sexually assaulting his adopted daughter Dylan Farrow. However, the charges were reportedly dropped later. Meanwhile, Polanski was charged with allegedly engaging in unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor in 1979. He was also reportedly accused by four other women of sexually assaulting them.
