MCU Character Black Bolt Actor Anson Mount Breaks Silence On His Surprise Cameo In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
Marvel Cinematic Universe’s latest feature Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has garnered immense praise from the fans and it has kept Marvel’s tradition of giving cameos, alive.

Similar to Spider-Man: No Way Home, the latest addition to the Doctor Strange franchise has also brought back several actors reprising their Marvel roles from other film or TV series.

According to the film the majority of these cameos were in the form of the Illuminati- the superhero society from Earth-838, whom Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) encounters while travelling across the multiverse.

Now, one of the actors from the Illuminati has finally opened up about appearing in the film.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness introduces Anson as the superhero team called Illuminati. The film included a number of celeb cameos namely, Patrick Stewart to Hayley Atwell and John Krasinski.

Among them was actor Anson Mount, who played the superhero Black Bolt. Interestingly, Anson had played a different version of Black Bolt on Marvel’s TV series Inhumans a few years ago.

Taking to his Twitter handle, he shared an image of the comic book version of the character and spoke about his cameo. However, he was careful enough to not provide too many spoilers.

"Finally able to discuss this without providing too many spoilers. Getting the call from Kevin Feige was one of the most unexpected of my life. It was an honor & joy to finally work with Sam Raimi who reached out to engage me on how best to do this. Beyond grateful for the experience,” he wrote.

He also shared another image of his character on Instagram as he wrote, “I can finally talk about it!!! I was beyond thrilled to get the call from Kevin Feige asking me to re-don the tuning fork. And it was a even more of a thrill to finally work with the great Sam Raimi for whom I have been a fan since as far back as “Evil Dead 2”. The experience was tremendous. Special thanks to producer Richie Palmer for making me feel so welcome and to @fakemichaelwaldron for running and gunning the whole way.”

In the film, Anson’s Black Bolt was killed along with the rest of the Illuminati by the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) in a rather gruesome twist.
