The red carpet for the 92nd edition of Hollywood’s one of the most anticipated honours The Academy Awards, popularly known as Oscars, has kick-started with a bang. So far, biggies like Brad Pitt, Scarlet Johansson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Margot Robbie, Joaquin Phoenix, Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek among others have arrived, but guess who is going to have a major FOMO tonight? Umm, it’s our desi girl-turned-global icon, Priyanka Chopra. Yes! Taking to her Twitter account, PeeCee revealed that she won’t be able to make it this year at the glitzy gala.

In her tweet, the Bajirao Mastani actress stated that she won’t be gracing the Oscars 2020 and asked fans about whom are they supporting. “Couldn’t make it to the #Oscars this year but I’ll be watching with you! Lemme know who you’re rooting for! #PCOscarParty,” wrote Priyanka. She then retweeted a fan tweet that was in the support of the nominated film, Parasite. “Parasite will open so much doors to people afraid of subtitles if it wins best picture #PCOscarparty”

Though she’s not coming, Priyanka Chopra made it a point to take fans a trip down the memory lane by sharing a couple of her throwback pictures from the previous Oscar Awards. She also asked fans to pick their favourite look. In the year 2017, PeeCee had donned a strapless silver-coloured Ralph and Russo outfit, whereas in 2016, she oozed glam in a white Zahir Murad gown, which was the seventh most-searched Oscar dress. “A little throwback to my Oscars looks. Which one was your favorite? Oscars 2020,” wrote the actress in her caption.
