An online petition was launched by Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds’ fans demanding that a Vancouver street is named after ‘Vancouver’s favourite son’. The Deadpool star has a hilarious reaction as he does not agree to fans naming the street in his honour
Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds, who is known for his best work in the films Deadpool, Green Lantern, Pikachu and others, has acquired a massive fan base across the world for him. Fans love Ryan and respect the actor as well, for his generous contributions towards the society. As Reynolds is loved by his fans, recently, an online petition was launched by the actor’s fans, demanding that a Vancouver street be named after ‘Vancouver’s favourite son’. The Deadpool star has a hilarious reaction as he does not agree to fans naming the street in his honour.
The online petition was launched by The Kevin and Sonia Show of Vancouver, on 104.9 KiSS radio. During the show, the host declared Ryan Reynolds as ‘Vancouver’s favourite son’. Not only that, the petition that was launched stated that the Deadpool star deserves to have a street or at least a lane named after him. The online petition further revealed that it was a request to the city to consider naming a street after Reynolds, considering everything he has done so far for the community. The petition read, “We feel for all he’s done for the community, he’s entirely deserving of a street named after him.” The petition also stated that another reason for it is the donation that Ryan and his wife Blake Lively made to Covenant house.
As the Twitterati expressed their excitement over the news and also signed the petition, Ryan Reynolds was not quite pleased by this sweet and kind gesture made to honour him. The actor reacted and wrote, “Very kind but hard pass.” After coming across the petition surfacing on social media, the actor also said, “If traffic sucks everyone will say, ‘Ryan Reynolds is a mess’ or ‘Ryan Reynolds is really backed up.’” Reynolds complained that he does not want a street to be named after him as people will not say good things addressed to him when stuck in traffic on that street.
