Singer-Songwriter Zayn Malik Ends His Social Media Break, Posts A Selfie Almost After A Month

Singer-songwriter Zayn Malik is back on Instagram almost after a month-long break. The singer has remained away from the social media platform after his disputes with his ex-partner Gigi Hadid and her mother Yolanda Hadid. The selfie posted by Zayn has him sporting glasses, a black leather jacket and beard, while he looks away from the camera. He let the picture do all the talking without penning any caption to it. His last Instagram post was on December 10, 2021.
The singer who reportedly had a dispute with his ex and her mother has been laying low post the allegations made on him. As per People Magazine, the singer was accused of harassment charges by Gigi and Yolanda following an argument at their Pennsylvania home. The incident took place in October 2021. Following the allegations, he has released a statement, a portion of which read, “I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private.”
In his Tweet, he shared, “I very much want to create a safe and private space for my daughter to grow up in. A place where private family matters aren`t thrown on the world stage for all to poke and pick apart.” He also shared a family member of Gigi entering their residence when she was away. He further tweeted, “This was and still should be a private matter but it seems for now there is divisiveness and despite my efforts to restore us to a peaceful family environment that will allow for me to co-parent my daughter in a manner in which she deserves, this has been 'leaked' to the press.”
