Spider-man fans are on cloud nine as Sony Pictures Entertainment India surprised Indian fans with a new announcement, and it just couldn’t get any better! The entertainment giant made an exciting announcement and shared that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is all set to release on June 1, 2023, a day before its release in the United States.

The announcement left the Indian fans exhilarated and they have been going gaga over the upcoming film. Fans were already excited after the makers' released the trailer for the film. Recently, it was also announced that the voice of Indian Spider-Man, Pavitr Prabhakar will be lent by famous cricketer Shubhman Gill for the Hindi and Punjabi versions of the film and this announcement got the fans excited. 


Considering the fan’s eagerness, the makers decided to release the film on June 1, 2023, a day before its worldwide release. 

“The interest and excitement Indian fans have shown towards Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is overwhelming. To fulfil this unprecedented demand in our market, we’ve decided to release the film a day prior, and again to reiterate in 10 languages,” Shony Panjikaran, General Manager and Head of Sony Pictures Releasing International (SPRI) India said. 

For years, Spider-man has been one of the most popular and loved superheroes across every generation. After the massive success of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in 2018, the fans can’t wait to get engrossed in the new dimensions of spider verse again.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is a sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) and it is set in a shared multiverse of alternate universes called the Spider-Verse.


Sony Pictures Entertainment India will be releasing Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in not just English or Hindi but also in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi and Bengali only in cinemas. Your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man will be in cinemas on June 1, 2023!
