Will Smith-Chris Rock Slap Saga: Oscar-Winning Actor Jokes About Controversy At Academy Awards In TikTok Video
Will Smith’s infamous slap moment from the Oscars last year shocked the entire world. Apparently, no one has forgotten the flustering slap saga, however, for Will it only seems to be a bad memory from his past and the actor has seemingly grown as a person since a year. Now, the actor has seemingly poked fun at his infamous Academy Awards with Chris Rock in a new TikTok video.

Will joking about it seems to be the last thing to imagine, as the incident in which he attacked presenter Chris Rock on live television had a gutting effect on his career. His projects were cancelled and his next film, Emancipation, had a little-to-no cultural impact.

Since the controversial slap moment, the actor has laid low and occasionally made self-effacing jokes on social media. On Tuesday, Will once again poked fun at the slap saga.

An Entertainment Weekly report suggested that Smith posted a video on his TikTok of him silently listening to a user known as Miss Money Working, real name Sam Rossi. In the video, Rossi spoke about the benefits of asking inanimate objects what they think of you.

“You can pick up a pen and ask it how it sees you or what it thinks of you,” Rossi says. “And you will get an answer in your mind from your intuition. You can ask your car what it thinks of you, you can even ask money what it thinks of you.”

In his own video, Smith then reached off-screen and pulled out his Oscar statue and appears to ask what it thinks of him. ALSO READ | Will Smith Makes His FIRST TV Appearance Following Infamous ‘SLAP Controversy’ With Chris Rock; Reveals What Conspired On That ‘Horrific Oscar Night’-READ BELOW

In the cryptic video, which ended without any overt confirmation, Smith appeared to be making a joke about the slap saga that dramatically altered the course of his life.

It’s a cryptic video, ending without any overt confirmation that Smith is indeed making a joke about an incident that’s dramatically altered the course of his life. But if, as Rossi asserts in the caption of her video, everything has a “consciousness,” Will Smith’s Oscar trophy, like Chris Rock’s mom, probably has some thoughts.
