A Wonder Woman film was first rumoured in the 90s. Various Wonder Woman films were in development mode throughout 2001-2010. Joss Whedon was also tipped to write one such in 2005.
Actresses like Sandra Bullock, Angelina Jolie, Beyonce Knowles, Megan Fox, Catherine Zeta Jones and even Priyanka Chopra were rumoured for the titular character in different Wonder Woman projects.
