Filmmaker Ram Madhvani, who directed and co-produced the web series Aarya starring Sushmita Sen is all set to start work on his next project. SpotboyE.com has learnt from sources that filmmaker Ram Madhvani is all set to produce an original web series titled ‘Jallianwala Bagh The Waking Of A Nation’. The source revealed that the film is based on Jallianwala Bagh and what happened at the location in Punjab. The insider informed that Madhvani’s next project is created by him and will be produced under his banner ‘Ram Madhvani Films’.
Speaking with SpotboyE.com, a source informed that “RAM MADHVANI - is soon getting into production this year with his next original web series based on - Jallianwala Bagh- It is tentatively titled “JALLIANWALA BAGH. THE WAKING OF A NATION “. It is based on research from the Hunter Commission that was formed to investigate what happened in Punjab and especially at Jallianwala Bagh. It is created by Ram Madhvani and is one of the projects he is doing that is to be produced under his banner Ram Madhvani Films.”
This comes after filmmaker-producer Karan Johar announced a film based on the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Karan revealed the film is based on real-life events and will be directed by Karan Singh Tyagi. The filmmaker had tweeted, “Extremely excited and honoured to be bringing the untold story of C. Sankaran Nair, a historic man to the big screens. Directed by @karanstyagi.” Johar’s film will be based on the book ‘The Case that Shook the Empire’ by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat.
