Ajeeb Daastaans: Karan Johar Jokingly Warned Kayoze And Said 'You Better Write A Good Screenplay' For Shefali Shah And Manav Kaul
Netflix originals anthology film Ajeeb Daastaans set to premiere on April 16, 2021, sees four films that speak about broken relationships and exploring the unexplored spaces in life. One of the stories revolves around characters played by Shefali Shah and Manav Kaul, which shows us communication doesn’t require words and a lot can be conveyed with our eyes and silence. Our anchor Manish Batavia in conversation with the movie cast Shefali, Manav and actor-director Kayoze Irani got them spilling some unknown deets.

A venture-backed by Karan Johar, Kayoze was quizzed about his first interaction with KJo when he pitched the idea to him. Kayoze replied that he only had an idea and nothing else, fortunately when he shared it with Karan Johar, he immediately gave a nod to him. But it came with a warning. Kayoze was asked by KJo to have a solid screenplay in place for it.

Kayoze said, “All I had is the idea, All I had was a story about someone who is in a marriage who can talk to that person but can’t communicate. And she finds someone with who she can’t talk in words, but communicates beautifully. And that’s what I took to Karan. He said Yes immediately he said you better write a good screenplay.” Responding to which Kayoza said, “That won’t be possible, so I got two writers, who wrote it.”  Karan Johar has been enjoying a lot of success in the OTT arena as well by backing projects that are liked and appreciated by the viewers.  Watch the video below from counter 04:49 seconds.
