Behind every Bollywood film, there goes a lot of brainstorming, hard work, individual/ team efforts and, of course, money. Well, there's a lot of excitement surrounding its release as well, but all of it partially goes in vain after the film succumbs to online piracy. Something very similar is the case of Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana's Gulabo Sitabo, which made its OTT premiere on Amazon Prime today. Well, despite skipping the theatrical release, the film was leaked online by a group of unethical hackers called TamilRockers.
The film made it to the notorious piracy site within a few hours of its Amazon Prime premiere and reportedly, it's available for free downloading in HD on other sites as well. TamilRockers is popular for putting out pretty much every new release. In the past, they had leaked Angrezi Medium, Dabangg 3, Chhapaak, Motichoor Chaknachoor, Bala, Housefull 4 and War among many others. Well, they don't spare Hollywood and other language films either. A lot of filmmakers have expressed their displeasure on the same but there has been no action taken so far. As for Gulabo Sitabo, luckily, there's no concern in regards to its box-office collections but an unfair practice is an unfair practice.
The film, which brings Amitabh and Ayushmann opposite each other for the first time, has been helmed by Shoojit Sircar and written by Juhi Chaturvedi.
An excerpt from our review for Gulabo Sitabo read, "Both Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan have got into the skin of their characters with utmost ease and conviction. Senior Bachchan AKA Mirza is playing a character from his backyard. Big B has Uttar Pradesh running in his blood and so playing Mirza from Lucknow makes us forget The Amitabh Bachchan he is."
