House Arrest Netflix India’s Latest Original Is Out Next Month: What We Know So Far
We don’t have a trailer for this one yet but what we know so far is enough to get us excited. Netflix India seems to be churning out at least one Indian original every month for the past few months and we, the audience couldn’t be more thrilled. Their latest film, House Arrest, stars Ali Fazal and Shriya Palgaonkar and is out on 15th November. Here’s a look at the teaser to give us an idea of what we could expect.

The video is a funny interaction between Ali Fazal and Shriya, a couple who are speaking with their broker at the house they have just moved in to. The interaction is quite different from anything we’d expect. They seem to be want to be inaccessible to the rest of the world – they are living on the top floor of a building where the lift doesn’t even work, the house is not even on Google Maps and both of them seem to be thrilled!

It’s safe to say that House Arrest deals with JOMO (The Joy Of Missing Out) which is the opposite of the millennial term FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out). We can guess that Ali in the film has social anxiety and puts himself under house arrest to avoid any interaction with the outside world – a sentiment lot of people today can probably relate to.

The internet also broke into a wave of excitement because Fazal and Palgaonkar will be seen together after Prime Video’s Mirzapur, whose Season 2 is presumably on the way but we haven’t seen any official confirmation yet.

This unusual comedy also stars Jim Sarbh and Barkha Singh. It is directed by Shashanka Ghosh of Veere Di Wedding fame and debutante director Samit Basu who is a popular novelist.

House Arrest will be out on Netflix on 15th November and we can’t wait to see the trailer!
