If You Liked ALTBalaji’s Mission Over Mars (M.O.M), You Must Watch This Film!
Last week, we were all captivated by ALTBalaji original, Mission Over Mars. Expectations on the show were high from the very beginning, especially after the success of popular Bollywood film, Mission Mangal, on the same subject. But, the show won us over with the honest portrayal of these women who were as real as anyone we know in real life. Backed by fantastic performances especially by Sakshi Tanwar and Mona Singh, we couldn’t get enough.

And for all of you who really can’t get enough, we have just the right film you could watch.

Yes, we are talking about Hidden Figures. One of the finest films of our time and a great motivator, Hidden Figures didn’t really receive the love it truly deserved. The story is of four black women, or like we should be addressing them, four mathematicians. Much like the context of M.O.M., the film is also driven by a true-life event.

The film is set in the United States of America in the 1960s. After a successful Russian space mission, there is great pressure on the nation to match up. This is the setting for what brings together these four incredible women to NASA whose professional and personal worlds collide. There are discrimination problems, but they persevere and emerge as clear winners.

The film is a searing reminder of how hard work always pays off and the greatest lesson from the film comes from each of these women who are brilliant and real in their very own way. Much like M.O.M., these women steal the show in each and every frame that they inhabit and by the time the end credits roll, we are left feeling inspired. Hidden Figures is mandatory viewing – not just for you but for everyone you know.

Hidden Figures is streaming now on Hotstar.
