It’s been recently reported that director Shaad Ali, famously known for films like Soorma, Bunty Aur Babli, and Saathiya, will adapt the Hindi version of legal drama Suits. The series which ran for over a decade on Netflix is the most successful American television series.  However, when SpotboyE contacted the director he denied having any idea about helming the series. Speaking on the same Shaad says, "Even I read this in the news, I had no idea about it up till then. I am currently busy shooting for something else. I don't have the rights; you need to confirm this with the person who has the rights of the series."

Last year Applause Entertainment announced the Indian remake of the French workplace comedy Call My Agent which will be helmed by Shaad. Asked the director if it's the series that he is working on currently to which he replied, “I can't reveal anything". The Indian series will be headlined by Soni Razdan and Rajat Kapoor and it's written by writer duo Abbas and Hussain Dalal.

The American legal drama Suits was written by Aaron Korsh and aired on June 23, 2011, and concluded on September 25, 2019. This was Meghan Markle’s last acting project before she married Prince Harry.
