Television actress Munmun Dutta, who is essaying the popular character of Babita in the show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltha Chashmah, has been missing from the sets these days. The cast and crew, who were shooting for the show in Daman after the set was temporarily shifted out of Maharashtra owing to the Government rules during an increase in COVID -19 cases in the state, have now been actively shooting in Mumbai for the last one month. However, Munmun has not reported to the sets yet and no storyline is being written around her due to her unavailability.
A reliable source tells SpotboyE.com, "Munmun has not reported to the sets ever since she got embroiled in the 'Bhangi' comment controversy. And there is a strong buzz that she may even decide to leave the show soon." For those who are uninitiated, Munmun Dutta got embroiled in a controversy in May this year after the actress released a video on her YouTube channel and went on using the word 'Bhangi' which drew ire for her on social media and users started trending #ArrestMunmunDuuta. Although in no time the actress not only deleted the video but also shared an apology post on her social media handles. But things didn't end there as multiple FIR's were filed against the actress in different cities on the matter.
