Mai: Anushka Sharma Brings Sakshi Tanwar And Raima Sen On-Board For Her Next Netflix Series

While social media is still boasting about Paatal Lok produced by Anushka Sharma, the actress has already jumped onto her next venture. While the shooting of all the films and shows is on halt due to the lockdown following the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic, Anushka has sorted out the cast of her next web-series produced under her Clean Slate banner. Anushka Sharma is bringing a crime-thriller series called Mai to release on Netflix. Reportedly, Sakshi Tanwar and Raima Sen are to star in it.
As per a report in PeepingMoon, Sakshi Tanwar is to play the lead role in Mai. It is a story about a middle-class woman who accidentally kills a mafia. She then finds herself getting deep into the criminal world, with power and violence taking over her life. It is reported to be the most challenging role Sakshi Tanwar has ever played in her life. Giving her company will be Raima Sen who has earlier featured in web-series like Love Bites, Parchhayee, The Last Hour and more. Mai, which is backed by Anushka Sharma, is to be directed by Atul Mongia.
Talking about the Sultan actress, she was last seen in Zero along with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. The film tanked at the box office, post which, the actress seems to have taken a short break. The announcement of her next film is yet to be made. She is enjoying her quarantine time with her husband and cricketer Virat Kohli.
