According to cybersecurity firm McAfee's new research, the people who searched for the Netflix series Delhi Crime or the film Mardaani 2 in order to watch the movie free on the internet are at the greatest risk of getting their server hacked. The report states that in new research, in the ‘Top 10 web risk list’ including TV series and films, the Netflix show Delhi Crime and Rani Mukerjee film Mardaani 2 have the top place in their respective categories.

Talking about TV series whose searches are the highest threats to the lowest of being hacked are Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Panchayat, Akoori, Fauda, Ghoul, Mindhunter, Narcos, Devlok and Lost apart from Delhi Crime being at the topmost position. Speaking of the Top 10 films who have the highest to the lowest threats are Zootopia, Jawaani Jaaneman, Chapaak, Love Aaj Kal, Inception, Bahubali, Rajnigandha, Gully Boy and Bala, apart from Mardaani 2 being on the topmost position. The report also states that as per the research, as the viewership of regional language content is rising in cities across the country, it is putting the users searching for free content at higher risk



Meanwhile, as the lockdown has led to an increase in online entertainment traffic, it has proved a perfect opportunity for cybercriminals. These criminals are targeting and following consumers who have an obsession with accessing content for free on the internet, when available on OTT platforms. In order to ensure your safety, Venkat Krishnapur, vice-president of engineering and managing director, McAfee India said that one must refrain from using illegal streaming sites as they are riddled with malware disguised as pirated video files.
