Amazon Prime Video finally announced the release date of its much-awaited web series, Mirzapur 2 through a small teaser video. This crime drama will be premiered on October 23, 2020. However, it seems like the web series actor Ali Fazal who plays the role of Guddu has left the netizens upset. The uproar proves that social media doesn't forget anything hence they dug out his 2019 tweets that were in support of the anti-CAA protests and few tweets that were also posted in March 2020.  Though he deleted these controversial posts after he faced flak, the screenshots of his tweets have resurfaced.

One of his tweets was also addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Now, according to a netizens Amazon Prime should pull down Mirzapur 2 as Ali according to them did not support CAA and NRC. One of the Twitter users wrote, “Amazon Prime @amazonprimenow has announced the premiere date of #Mirzapur2 starring Ali Fazal, who had vehemently opposed NRC n CAA while instigating n provoking agitators on communal lines and urging them to hit the streets by taking law n order in their hands.#BoycottMirzapur2” Yet another Twitter user also tweeted that the show should be boycotted as the show is backed by Farhan Akhtar, who is dragged because of the nepotism rage.

The show has been in the news after its first season was appreciated by the viewers.
