Unlike other, or we say, most of the cooking shows, Netflix’s Nailed It! is a competition that celebrates human failures and all their silly antics in the most entertaining way possible. The show sees a variety of participants, who aren’t good cooks at all, but does that stop them from hitting the kitchen? Umm, nope! The fourth episode of Netflix’s Nailed It! 4 aired recently and it saw a sports-themed bake-off for all its participants or we say, amateur cooks, namely Shane, Stacey, and Stephanie. Gabby Douglas joined Jacques Torres and Nicole Byer as a guest judge on the show.
The first challenge for all the bakers was to recreate sports medal cookies. Judge Nicholas quickly warned them by saying it’s going to be an onerous task and not a cakewalk as they will "have to climb a treacherous terrain of flour" while surfing "the crashing waves of sugar" and go lengths in chopping butter sticks to make those cookies, which had different sports on it – climbing, surfing and karate. As per the rules, the cookies were to be baked first, followed by being dipped in white chocolate, coated with royal icing and painted with metallic colour just like the medals.
Well, all the bakers were neck-to-neck with each other among those adventurous 45 minutes. After a lot of struggles, failures and efforts, Stacey emerged victorious over her twin sister, Stephanie. The two also got into a quarrel after Stacey poked fun at Stephanie.
Moving to the second round, the bakers were asked to recreate a winner artistic swimming cake and the swimmers were to be made out of modeling chocolate in a pool of blue piping gel. All of them had one hour and 45 minutes to complete the challenge. Well, eventually, Stephanie made it look easy and won the task, beating her twinnie.
Towards the end of round 2, Stephanie’s cake looked the best and she also managed to beat the remaining two in terms of flavours, hence taking the winner’s trophy and ten thousand dollars home. Nailed It! 4 is currently streaming on Netflix.
