Anushka Sharma’s debut digital venture, Paatal Lok got thumbs up from the viewers.  This crime thriller is getting appreciated for its gripping storyline and touch of reality, which is making it relatable to watch. As the show sees people from different strata of the society from businessman to cops to merely the ones who make their livelihood by taking the unethical route, now comes in compliments from the Director General of Police, UT Chandigarh, Sanjay Baniwal. Well this must have surely left Anushka feeling proud.

This Chandigarh’s top cop, praising the series, mentioned about being nostalgic after watching the show as he could recollect about the zeal and enthusiasm he saw in Delhi police force during his time. On the signing off note, he praised the actors Jaideep Ahlawat and Abhishek Banerjee for his excellent acting prowess which made this web series even more gripping and binge worthy during lockdown. He tweeted, “Just binge watched the entire first season of #PatalLok. Got nostalgic, of my time with @DelhiPolice.That zeal to achieve, in face of opposition, both from outside and inside. Good job boys @jaideepahlawat and @nowitsabhi”
