Ramyug: Interesting Subplots Of This Magnum-Opus That Make This MX Original Series A Captivating One
MX Original Series Ramyug is the latest visual interpretation of the mythological epic Ramayana that uses modern technology to narrate the epic. Directed by Kunal Kohli, this magnum opus brings forth a tale of love, devotion, sacrifice & revenge - set against a backdrop of stunning visuals, grandeur, scale, and powerful dialogues that bring alive this primordial era. In a quest to get Sita back from the captivity of Ravan, Ram goes through a journey forming alliances with people who vow to fight for his cause. This makes for interesting subplots which are also the focal points of the story told by the majestic series.

The news of tussle between the brothers, Vali and Sugreeva for the throne of their kingdom reaches Ram through Hanuman. He allies with Sugreeva wherein he will help kill Vali and in return, Sugreeva must join forces with Rama and help him get back Sita. This story highlights the virtues of karma and dharma.

A similar moral conflict is also experienced by Ravan's brother Vibheeshana. He chooses to eventually join Ram in the fight against evil because he realizes his true Dharma in life is to support the right even if it means going against his brother.

Rama demonstrates intense loyalty and honour when he insists that his father, King Dasharatha uphold his promise to Kaikeyi, one of his wives, and make Bharath the king of Ayodhya instead of Ram as well as agreeing to the 14-year exile. This also highlights the value of upholding a promise, which is a running theme of many of the subplots throughout the tale. These interesting subplots, paired with visually appealing direction, are what makes Ramyug a must-watch series!

Ramyug sees an ensemble cast of Diganth Manchale, Akkshay Dogra, Aishwarya Ojha, Kabir Duhan Singh, Vivan Bhatena, Navdeep Pallapolu, Anish John Kokken, Shishir Mohan Sharma, Jatin Sial, Shweta Gulati, Suparna Marwah, Mamta Verma, Tisca Chopra, Dalip Tahil, Anup Soni, Vikram Singh Chauhan, Hemant Kumar Pandey, Arun Singh, Ravi Jhankal, Shaan Grover, Amit Madan Gaur, Teena Singh and Danish Akhtar in pivotal roles.
