Ranvir Shorey Issues Clarification For His Comments About Bigg Boss Being Biased Towards Sana Makbul, Says Media Misquoted Him
From the beginning of "Bigg Boss OTT 3," Ranvir Shorey and Sana Makbul were at odds, frequently exchanging hurtful words. The tension escalated when Ranvir claimed that Sana was not a deserving winner and suggested that the show's management had a bias in her favour. On August 5, 2024, Ranvir posted a video message on Instagram addressing the issue. In his message, he discussed his experience on the show and clarified his earlier comments. Ranvir claimed that the media had misrepresented his words, twisting them to create a misleading narrative. He insisted that he merely expressed his opinion that other contestants might have been more deserving of the win. In his words: "Humare media waalo ko baat ghumane ki aadat hai bilkul humare is saal ke winner ki tarah. Maine sirf ye kaha tha ki mere opinion me isse kahi zyada deserving winners ho sakte the." Ranvir went on to name Armaan, Lovekesh, and Shivani as potential winners. He acknowledged Sana's beauty and intelligence but emphasized that "Bigg Boss" is not just about playing dirty games or hurling abuse. He judged contestants based on their empathy and contributions to the house. He stressed that his criticism was not directed at Bigg Boss himself, as he still felt a degree of intimidation by the show's authority, humorously noting, "But main is hisab se sabko judge kar rha tha aur in parameters me maine Sana ko nahi dikha kisi gharwale ke liye kaam karte hue ya empathy rakhte hue. Main Bigg Boss pe ungli nahi utha raha tha kyuki main unse itna darta hoon ki abhi awaaz sunu to khad ho jau. I think ye life bhar rahega."

After Sana was declared the winner, Ranvir reiterated his viewpoint in an interview with News18 Showsha. He labelled Sana an 'undeserving winner,' criticizing her for not making any positive contributions to the house. He remarked that she focused more on self-promotion and aggressive tactics rather than fostering a positive environment. Despite his reservations, he acknowledged the legitimacy of the public vote and offered his congratulations: "I don’t think she has done anything positive in the house. Other than going on and chanting, ‘I am selfish’, ‘I want to win’ or assuming that the show is about how much bad talk you can give and calling it determination, I don’t think she has added any positive influence on anything in the house or on the housemates. I don’t consider her the most deserving candidate. But yet, I think Bigg Boss had a soft spot for her somewhere. I feel she got the votes. That needs to be respected. Congratulations to her."

Sana Makbul's journey on "Bigg Boss OTT 3" was tumultuous, marked by frequent criticisms from co-contestants and the show's host, Anil Kapoor. She was often labeled selfish and accused of being overly vocal about her opinions. Despite the challenges, Sana triumphed with a historic win on August 2, 2024, securing the prize money of Rs. 25 lakh and the trophy, along with the respect and recognition she earned from her participation in the show.
