Ray Actor Neeraj Purohit: 'I Admired Ali Fazal For His Work But Now, I Also Admire Him For His Humility'- EXCLUSIVE
Neeraj Purohit started his journey in the field of acting with a short film, Adheen that co-starred Sanjay Mishra and Anupriya Goenka. The film got huge critical acclaim and his efforts got hugely recognized with the likes of Randeep Hooda and Zoya Akhtar showering praises.

The actor has made sure his passion is not just limited to commercial cinema but good acting hence to learn the craft better he went on to learn theater and start from ground level and worked with many stalwarts. His efforts were recognized when he was called to audition for Ray, a collection of Satyajit stories in which he stars alongside Ali Fazal in the titled story #forgetmenot.  ALSO READ: 'I Was Not Involved At All', Satyajit Ray's Son Sandeep Ray Reacts To The Underwhelming Reviews Of Maverick's Anthology 'Ray' - EXCLUSIVE

Talking about Ali, Neeraj says, "He is a gem of a person. We met for the first time at the readings and I was already a bit nervous. And he introduced himself with so much humility. Saying “Hi I am Ali Fazal.” And I was talking to myself…. Like…I know a man who doesn’t know you. These are the signs of a gem. While shooting as well he was very supportive and helpful towards all the co-actors. In the beginning, I was an admirer of his work and by the end of the shoot, I became an admirer of him as a person."  ALSO READ: Ray REVIEW: Baap 'Ray' Baap This Manoj Bajpayee, Gajraj Rao, Ali Fazal Starrer Is Interesting, But Is This Satyajit Ray?

The actor has some good work in the pipeline like Kangana Ranaut's Dhaakad and Pippa- a Roy Kapur Productions.

He signs off saying, "Life has been good and I cannot complain I am not in the rat race. I believe in hard work. I am here for the passion of my work and not the money. I come from an affluent business family which I look after too, so money has never been an issue by the grace of God. It's the passion for acting that got me here and that keeps me going...I have always believed the length of my role doesn't matter, the impact it makes is what makes a difference to me...so yes I have started with small roles but good ones at that and what is to come ahead is only better. Like they say, slow and steady wins the race."
