Regina Cassandra Joins Shahid Kapoor’s Debut Web Series; She Is Currently Filming For It
Besides Shahid, Amol, and Regina, the show also features Raashii Khanna, Vijay Sethupathi and Kay Kay Menon in pivotal roles.
Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming web show has been making a lot of noise and it hosts a stellar cast. National Award-winning actor Amol Palekar returned to the entertainment industry after 25-years and now, he will play Shahid’s grandfather in Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s upcoming web show. The senior actor shot for his parts in Goa and Mumbai.
Now, a recent report suggests that South actress Regina Cassandra too has joined the cast. “Regina plays a very important role in the show, and is currently filming for it in Mumbai. The shooting is expected to go on for another month, before the makers call it a wrap,” said a source, quoted by Pinkvilla.
Besides Shahid, Amol, and Regina, the show also features Raashii Khanna, Vijay Sethupathi and Kay Kay Menon in pivotal roles. Sethupathi had reportedly started filming for his part in August.
Shahid and Raashii had even expressed their excitement of working with Sethupathi on social media. In a tweet, Rashii wrote, “Collaborating with my favourite human/actor for the third time, this time in Hindi..! Welcome to our set @VijaySethuOffl Sir”.
Speaking about the same, Shahid also mentioned on Instagram, “Waiting on set call me soon @rajanddk … can't wait to share the frame with @actorvijaysethupathi sorry @raashiikhanna I’ve got too used to having you around on set.”
Previously, Shahid was seen building up his physique for this role. This web series will mark his debut in the digital arena and who better to direct him than Raj and DK. The series is highly anticipated among the fans after the huge success of The Family Man with Manoj Bajpayee.
While Shahid has completed the shoot of his upcoming film - Jersey, according to several reports the movie will be released in November later this year.
