RRR: Pen Movies Announces The Official Digital & Satellite Partners For India’s Biggest Film

Magnum Opus RRR directed by SS Rajamouli to have a digital release after its release in the movie theaters. The makers released a video announcing the same. The film is slated to release worldwide on 13 October 2020 on the occasion of Dussehra.

This is one of the biggest news for all the RRR fans, the most anticipated film will be released in many languages on these OTT platforms. S S Rajamouli's magnum opus will not just be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam but also in Portuguese, Korean, Turkish, and Spanish. The film will premiere on digital platforms after 10-15 weeks of theatrical release. This news has just made the film even bigger than it already was.

A video shared by the makers on Twitter reads, "The film’s digital streaming partners are G5 Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. Apart from this, Netflix is also Hindi. The satellite partners are Zee Cinema Hindi, Star Plus Telugu, Star Plus Tamil, Asianet Malayalam, Star Kannada. Digital streaming partners (in foreign language) are Netflix (English, Korean, Turkish, and Spanish). This is the biggest deal for an Indian movie ever.


In one of the biggest acquisitions ever, earlier in April, it was announced that the North India theatrical rights, electronic, satellite, and digital rights of RRR have been sold to the leading studio, Pen India Ltd. The movie boasts an ensemble cast that also includes Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt. RRR is a fictional story about India's freedom fighters, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR) who fought against the British Raj and Nizam of Hyderabad respectively.
