The wait is over, folks! After over a year of waiting, Sacred Games Season 2 is now streaming on Netflix and here’s why you should get watching right away!
We’ve been ticking the dates off our calendars and the day has finally arrived. Apart from celebrating Independence Day, we’re also celebrating the fact that we can finally watch Sacred Games Season 2 today.
If you didn’t know that, you’ve probably been living under a rock.
The first season was fabulous, the second season promises to be even bigger and better. The Netflix show could be called a cop and gangster chase, but in reality, it is so much more than that. Starring Saif Ali Khan as Sartaj Singh and Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Ganesh Gaitonde, viewers all over the world are invested in their stories. The first season left us on a cliffhanger with a lot of unanswered questions and Season 2 promises to answer them.
There are also a host of new characters as well as old characters who promise to play a big role in the events of the season. Pankaj Tripathi as Guruji, Kalki Koechlin as Batya Abelman, Surveen Chawla as Jojo and Jatin Sarna as Bunty seem to be the most prominent ones as hinted by all the marketing efforts over the past couple of months. There is also a lot of comparisons being made among fans between Pankaj Tripathi and Kalki’s characters being similar to Osho and Ma Anand Sheela.
The scale of the season has also gotten a lot grander. We see Gaitonde’s track in particular being shot in exotic locations like Cape Town, Nairobi etc. Netflix has also released a statement saying that this is the biggest budget venture in the Indian web space. The budgets have been inflated after the runaway success of the first season.
