Samay Raina's India's Got Latent 2 Clocks 45 Million YouTube Views In 4 Days, Netflix Viewership Lags Behind

Comedian Samay Raina's India's Got Latent Season 2 has made a roaring comeback, with the show's premiere episode becoming a massive success on YouTube. While the episode has garnered over 45 million views within just four days on the video-sharing platform, its performance on Netflix has been comparatively modest, recording 2.2 million views.

The latest season marked the first time India's Got Latent was released simultaneously on YouTube and Netflix, giving viewers two different platforms to watch the show. However, the numbers clearly indicate that the majority of the audience preferred YouTube over the streaming giant.

According to Netflix's official Tudum data, the premiere episode has received 2.2 million views, securing the seventh position on the Global Top 10 Non-English Shows list. Netflix calculates viewership by dividing the total hours watched by the runtime of the title. In comparison, the same episode has already crossed 45 million views on YouTube, making the difference between the two platforms significant.

The first episode featured Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, who appeared on the show to promote their upcoming film Alpha. Several moments from the episode quickly went viral on social media, contributing to its widespread popularity.

The report also compared the show's performance with other streaming content. It noted that The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 4, which premiered with Priyanka Chopra as its first guest in December 2025, reportedly registered around 1.5 million views, according to Ormax Media.

Interestingly, India's Got Latent has always enjoyed tremendous success on YouTube. During its first season, most episodes consistently attracted between 20 and 25 million views, establishing the show as one of India's biggest digital comedy formats.

Samay Raina has also witnessed remarkable success with his individual content this year. His stand-up special Still Alive, released after the controversy surrounding the first season of India's Got Latent, became the most-watched comedy special on YouTube globally, collecting 22 million views within the first 24 hours. The special has now crossed 65 million views.

The return of India's Got Latent comes months after the show's first season was taken down following controversy over remarks made during one of its episodes. The incident resulted in multiple FIRs against Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia and other panelists. Despite the backlash, the show's second season appears to have struck a chord with audiences once again, with its YouTube viewership reaffirming Samay's strong digital fan following.
