Sardar Ka Grandson: Rakul Preet Singh Regrets Not Fulfilling Her Grandfather's Last Wish
Actress Rakul Preet Singh and Arjun Kapoor starrer Sardar Ka Grandson is the story of a US-return grandson (Arjun Kapoor), who is willing to do anything to fulfill his old grandmother's (Neena Gupta) last wish which is to visit her ancestral home in Pakistan. Starring as an independent strong woman and Kapoor's love interest Rakul in an exclusive chat with SpotboyE opens up about her grandfather's last wish and the reason for doing the film.

The actress revealed how her grandfather (dad's dad) like in the film had a wish to see his house in Pakistan, she said, "My grandfather (dad's dad) had a wish to visit his house in Pakistan, he was around 12-13 years old when the partition happened. Actually, all my grandparents came here during the partition, others were much younger. He would tell us stories about Lahore and Rawal Pindi, and describe his school to us  I wish we could fulfill his dream but we couldn't because my dad was in the army we were always moving around so we didn't get the chance to take him, but by the time we could he was too old to travel and we lost him a year and a half back."

She adds, "Actually it was right around the corner when I was shooting for this film that I lost my grandfather. So I connected so much with the emotion in the film but I still wish that we could have fulfilled that wish for him (grandfather) but yeah that's something that will always be on my mind.

Meanwhile, Rakul has quite an interesting lineup of films, she will next be seen in Thank God with Ajay Devgn and Siddharth Malhotra, Doctor G opposite Ayushmann Khurrana, and Mayday with Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn.
