About a year ago, Indian web shows were few and far in between. There were only a couple of good quality shows out every year and the market for them was still growing. One year later, things have changed rapidly and we have a list of new shows to look forward to at any point of time. We couldn’t be prouder to share with you a list of top 3 shows for the month of September 2019 and all of them are Indian shows! Check them out.
1. Mission Over Mars (M.O.M.) – Zee5/ALTBalaji
Ekta Kapoor and team managed to wow all of us with this sleeper hit. Expectations were high with this one with the success of Mission Mangal just the month before it released, but with a great cast, well etched out characters and an interesting storyline, Mission Over Mars emerged as a win. Much like the real life mission, we basked in the glory of their success with them.
2. The Family Man – Amazon Prime Video
Manoj Bajpayee and makers Raj and DK hit it out of the park with The Family Man. Delving into a perspective we don’t often associate with racy spy thrillers, this one managed to tick all the right boxes. With stunning cinematography and scenes that make you feel the thrill and laugh out loud at the same time, The Family Man has earned its position on this list.
3. Bard of Blood – Netflix
Netflix is known for the best production value, and Bard of Bloods is comparable to any of their international shows. Another spy thriller, Bard of Blood also manages to be a political thriller. Emraan Hashmi brilliantly essays the role of Kabir Anand, a spy masquerading as a school teacher. Sobhita Dhulipala is impressive too. All in all, Bard of Blood is masterful and binge-worthy.
